Farvel og tak for fisk / Goodbye and thank you for fish

Een dag var det Teddy, der fangede 2 hornfisk.
One day Teddy caught 2 garfish.
De blev pandestegt i smør og smagte sååå godt.
They were fried in butter and tasted sooo good.
En anden dag fangede Ulrik 3 hornfisk
Another day Ulrik caught 3 garfish.
De blev grillet.
They were prepared on grill.
For at være sikker på, at vi havde mad nok, havde drengene købt 2 kg muslinger.
To be sure we had food enough the boys had bought 2 chiloes of mussels.
Vi ville prøve at røge dem, så vi lagde brændenælder ovenpå kullene.
We wanted to try and smoke this so upon the coals we put nettles.
Så var det om at holde tungen lige i munden mens de blev lagt på sammen med den sidste af de 3 hornfisk.
Very concentrated they were placed on the grill together with the last garfish.
Og her er det endelige resultat. Uuuuhm!

Når katten er ude...... / When the cat is out..............V

Tid for det årlige Chicago Show. Tid for 5 dages råhygge.
Time for Chicago Show. Time to have 5 cosy days.

Som altid, når  Lena passer mig, starter vi med god mad og vin. Her er det meniure-stegt hellefisk med blancheret spidskål, stegte æbler og beurre blanc. Og jo, man kan sagtens drikke rødvin til fisk!

As always when Lena is taking care of me, we start with good food and wine.
This is meniure-fried halibut with blanched cabbage, fried apples and beurre blanc.
And of course you can have red wine with fish!
Garderoben skulle også udvides

Clothes were bought
Og selvfølgelig var der lagt pil i blød.

And of course we had loads of willow
Men først skulle vi have en lille frokost

But first we had lunch
Bagefter gik Annette i gang med et malerprojekt

After that Annette had a painting project
og Lena skulle lige afprøve den stol, som hendes far lavede i stand for nogle år siden

and Lena tried out the chair that her father so beautifully had restored some years ago
og inden vi fik set os om, var der gået 5 dage og den sidste aftensmad skulle arrangeres.

and suddenly 5 days had gone and it was time for our last dinner together
Trætte med glade spiste vi lammekoteletter med grønne og hvide asparges, smørstegte kantareller og ærtepure med mandler og mynteblade. Tak for dejlige dage

Tired but happy we ate lamb chops with green and white asparagus, butter fried chantarelle and mashed peas with almonds and peppermint leaves. Thank you for beautiful days.
