En gang imellem laver jeg andet end mad i Montalto. Her er et par eksempler på dette. Det træ jeg har brugt i midten er Bruyere, som er det samme træ, der bruges til at lave piber af. Det er faktisk en del af roden på klokkelyng og fungerer i naturen som en slags vandreservoir. Træet er meget hårdt og meget let og helt skønt at arbejde med.
Disse kurve er tænkt som en kombi-kurv til ost og brød.
Træet i potten i baggrunden er en ægte pinje, som vi har sået af en pinjekerne for 3-4 år siden. Måske kan vi en dag leve af at sælge pinjekerner? Nå, det ligger nok lidt ude i fremtiden.
Sometimes I make other things than food in Montalto. Here are a few examples of this. The wood I've used in the middle is Bruyere, which is the same wood used to make pipes. It's actually a part of the root of Erica and works in nature as a kind of water reservoir. The wood is very hard and very light and wonderful to work with.These baskets are designed as a combined basket for cheese and bread.The tree in the pot in the background is a real pine, which we have sowed from a pine seed 3-4 years ago. Maybe we can one day live from selling pine nuts? Well, it will probably take some years.

Jeg har i dag været til pilefestival på Moesgård. Der var også nogle kurve a la dine, men slet ikke så fine. Glæder mig til at se dem i virkeligheden og at flette en sammen med dig, søde Mette. :o)
